Introduction
If you’re using Formtify and wondering, “How do I update my account info?” — you’re in the right place! This article is all about managing your Profile Settings, including your name, contact details, payment information, password, and even linked accounts like Google. Everything is designed to be simple and secure, so you always stay in control of your data.
Let’s walk through what you can do and how to do it, step by step.
Upload or Change Your Avatar
Your avatar appears in the header and helps personalize your workspace. Here’s how to update it:
Click your profile picture in the top-right corner → Click “Change” → Upload a new image from your device
If you don’t upload a picture, the default avatar will be used — and yes, it’s perfectly fine to leave it as-is if you prefer!
Update Your Personal Info
Right in the Profile Settings section, you’ll see a form where you can update your personal information. This includes:
First Name
Last Name
Email (read-only if already used in payment)
Phone Number
Address
City
Country
State (optional)
Zip Code
Your email might be locked from editing if it’s already been used for payment details. If you need to change the email, you’ll need to transfer ownership of your account instead. (Check out our guide on Remove or Transfer Users for that.)
Once you’re done updating your info:
Click “Save” to keep the changes
You’ll get a quick confirmation and everything will be stored securely.
Password or Linked Account — What You’ll See
Depending on how you signed up, you’ll see different options in the security section.
If you signed up using email and password (or reset your password before):
You’ll see a section called “Change Password”
This allows you to update your password anytime — just enter your old one and choose a new one
If you logged in with Google:
You won’t see the password section
Instead, you’ll see “Linked Account” and a message confirming your Google account is connected
