What is a Field Group?

A Field Group is a collection of related fields grouped together to represent a specific entity or context. These fields often share a common purpose or belong to the same category, such as “Organization,” “Customer,” or “Employee.” For example, an “Organization” Field Group might include fields like:

  • Name
  • Incorporation certificate number
  • ID date (issued on)
  • Headquarter address (lines 1 and 2, city, state)

What is Field Group Data?

Field Group Data refers to a specific instance of a Field Group with actual data entered into the fields. Think of Field Group Data as the filled-out version of a Field Group.

For example: Field Group: “Organization” that includes the fields mentioned above will have this Field Group Data:

  • Field Group Data Title: Bizfile Ltd.Name: Bizfile Ltd.
  • Name of Establishment Certificate: Certificate of Incorporation.
  • Incorporation Certificate No.: 12345.
  • ID Date (Issued On): 01/01/2022.
